My name is Cynthia Navarro and I have been on the Board for awhile now! I work at Boardman Pool and Recreation Center, and have been there for over 5 years! I am the front desk manager admin assistant. I love it there, and I love the people I work with and getting to know new people every day. My job is fun and exciting; imagine working for a company that you’ve wanted to work for and teaching others to learn what they enjoy and support them to succeed. I like to spend my free time in the gym, participate in 5k runs, and family movies and chill is my “fave”.
I have a beautiful daughter, Estefani, who seems to have grown an interest in the medical field. She is very curious, smart, patient, and loves to write, but is the opposite of myself.
I moved to Boardman when I was 14 years old, and graduated from Riverside High School. I met my high school sweetheart and we are still going strong; as we grow older together, we keep learning from one another. Patience is the key.
I used to work for the clinic when it was at the building on Kinkade Rd. I started as a front desk receptionist in 2011 for about 2 years, then moved on to medical records after we opened the new, beautiful building it is now. I then did transportation, and was a bilingual interpreter. I ended my years with Columbia River Health as the Promotora Outreach worker. In that job, I learned to understand the point of view of being a patient, and how one person can make a difference just by taking that one extra step.
